Dogs are wondrous animals that have the ability to add endless amounts of joy and love to our lives. Dogs are skilled at relieving stress and anxiety while lifting us up when we are down and bringing a smile to our faces even on our worst days. It is our responsibility as owners to return this love with the strong, structured environment and training that dogs require in order to truly thrive.

I practice a balanced training approach with a strong emphasis on positive reinforcement.  Any punishment that a dog receives is very minor, and never harmful or cruel in any way.  Dogs need lots of attention and love in order to be at their best, we always keep this in mind during training.  All dogs are incredibly smart and need lots of exercise to keep them happy and behaving well.  Everyone knows about physical exercise to wear them out, but mental exercise designed to work out their brain is just as important for such smart animals.  I am a firm believer that dogs succeed best when they are told what they are allowed to do, when far too often the focus is on telling the dog what is not allowed.  It is my goal to find the simplest, easiest manner of training for both dog and owner.

It is my goal to deepen and enrich my clients’ bond with their beloved dog and to ensure no dog I work with ever finds their way to a shelter. I seek to remove or prevent the stress, anxiety, and embarrassment that can accompany an ill behaving dog.
